Ken comes to the Maricopa County Assessor’s office from Detroit, Michigan, where he spent twenty years in the human services management field. He has also been a small business owner during this time, focusing on providing warranty and repair work for major retail appliance sellers. Ken has construction experience as he has also run a family owned remodeling and repair business. He held various construction and appliance installation licenses in Michigan. Ken began his employment career like most folks in the Motor City working for GM, "on the Line" with the Cadillac division.

He holds a BS in Counseling and is currently attending Grand Canyon University where he is completing his Master's Degree in Business Leadership.

Mr. Young brings a keen sense of customer service and community involvement, a personal story of continued career success, and a calming demeanor that will assist the Assessor in reaching our corporate vision.

Ken is a husband to Kathy and father to five sons (Tyronne, Terrance, Kyle, Kylan & Kris).
