| The Citizen's Aide is positioned
to serve as facilitator for taxpayers to help them resolve issues
or concerns with property values and to communicate with the Assessor
and Chief Deputy to keep them informed on such issues.
Bill Kennedy was choosen for this position as
his more than 35 years with the Assessor's office provides him
with the broad knowledge and experience to assist and educate
taxpayers in all aspects regarding this office. .
Over the years, Bill has held various management
roles that include Manager of Support Services, Assessor Liaison,
Intergovernmental Liaison, Project Manager and Appraiser. Bill
was instrumental in the development of the Electronic Permit System
and received key recognitions from the Maricopa Association of
Governments the City of Phoenix and the City of Philadelphia.
Bill is a native of Wheeling, West Virginia.
He is a true sports fan; played basketball for Arizona State University,
drafted by the National Basketball Association - Phoenix Suns
and played in the American Basketball Association - Kentucky Colonels.
Currently, he is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)
Official and, in his spare time, participates on a senior olympic
basketball team. Bill also gives back to the community through
his commitment as an avid football coach for Pop Warner Football
and his support of education as a first priority along with team
sports.
