On
February 12, 2010, the Maricopa County Assessor's Office sent
1.5 million 2011 Notice of Valuation Notices to property owners.
In
an effort to reduce costs the Assessor changed the format of
the Notice of Valuation to an 8-1/2 x 11 double-sided, four
fold format (about the size of a postcard). This saved the county
over 40 percent on production costs.
In
previous years we printed our notices on 8-1/2 x 14 paper and
including a letter from the Assessor and inserts from other
county departments. Last year we had 300 envelopes per mail
tray compared to 900 notices per mail tray this year. In addition,
there were 64 palettes filling 2-1/2 truck loads last year compared
to 20 palettes filling only 1/2 a truck load this year! |
