Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen is pleased to announce that Vision Government Solutions has been selected as the new provider of a Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system. This decision was reached following an extensive formal procurement and selection process in which their application was thoroughly evaluated and selected by the review committee.
Maricopa County is the fourth largest assessment jurisdiction in the United States and has more than 1.6 million real and personal property parcels/accounts containing widely diverse property types that are valued on an on-going basis.
“Vision Government Solutions is at the forefront of parcel management companies and the product they build for us will have an effective life of 20 years or more,” said Assessor Petersen.
“Vision’s latest software version will provide the Assessor’s Office with increased public transparency and online transactions, support accurate and justifiable property valuation, enable superior customer service and accountability, and improve data exchange with other government entities. I am pleased to be a part of this partnership and look forward to the next 20 years as we bring the future to the present,” Assessor Petersen continued.
Jay Taranto, Executive Vice President at Vision, stated, “Maricopa County is one of the largest high profile and progressive assessment jurisdictions in the Country and we are very excited to be working with Paul Petersen and his staff. Maricopa County will represent our first installation in the State of Arizona and we are looking forward to our partnership to assist them in providing accurate and timely services to their customers.”
The new CAMA system is expected to be fully configured, tested, and ready to support daily operations beginning in 2018.
