Maricopa County Assessor Paul D. Petersen was appointed by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of former Maricopa County Assessor Keith Russell when he was appointed as the new East Mesa Justice of the Peace. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Assessor Petersen on August 19, 2013. Assessor Petersen originally began working in the Assessor’s office in January 2006 as the assessor representative at the Arizona Legislature, and as a Public Information Officer.
